Winners and Webinars

interactive webinar for build rank profit readers

by Alex on October 25, 2011

Just a quick post today to announce a couple of things – one of which is actually rather monumental, depending on where you stand anyway…

Winners and Webinars.
Has a nice ring to it actually, beats the hell out of Winnerbinars… which is where I was thinking of going (and you know I would too).

Let’s start with the winners…

Last month I announced that I was giving away a years worth of free content syndication to BlogEngage via their RSS Blog Syndication Service.
I called this the ‘I feel the Need, the Need for Feed’ Contest (best title ever?) and I said I would announce a winner a fortnight from that date (that’s two weeks for you American’s who do not seem to have that word in your vocabulary?) but in the meantime I kinda had a few issues with my hosting*

Now that things have settled back to normal again I realised the time had come to employ my son to pick a name from a hat – which he did after much deliberating (and a bowl of Jelly… and a Biscuit and half a banana)

And after cleaning up the remains of the spilled ‘bribes’ I take great pleasure in announcing the winner of the ‘I feel the Need, the Need for Feed’ Contest is…

the winner of the Getting Things Done contest is

Pete Davies from Interactive-Blogger.com

OK so for everyone else that did not win, allow me to attempt to rectify that by offering something that will make you all winners*
*I also offer a game of two halves – and many, many other meaningless cliches ;)

Winnerbinars.

There – I used it (sorry, I had to). Bear with me though, ’cause it works!

As the work I am doing on the Build Rank Profit Membership Site draws to a close my brain is full of anything and everything related to well, Building – Ranking -and Profiting (for lack of a better term) and although most of this information is now within the members site itself, there is obviously a lot of in between stuff, smaller details – random information (and the occasional sporadic outburst) that may never see the light of day.

With this in mind I sent out an email to my readers asking them if they needed help with anything specific in relation to the whole Build Rank Profit process – and the responses I got certainly painted an overall picture of where people are struggling. I have since taken the time to reply to each of these readers individually but it got me to thinking – maybe it was webinar time?

Yep, Definitely Webinar Time!

This idea that maybe I should be passing my knowledge down in a live and interactive format was further enforced by some recent ‘purchases’ I have made in the IM world, that being courses and any niche site or SEO/Link building related WSO offers (I always buy and try before I promote anything here on AlexWhalley.com).

Some marketers have no idea what they are talking aboutI have purchased many ebooks and courses lately that I hoped would give me further insight into the how and the why, as well as maybe shining a light on a few ideas and methods I had not thought of – and although there have been the occasional glimmers of hope as I have digested the content – generally speaking I find myself yelling at my iPhone or monitor as the stupidity and absurdity of the process or method is divulged.

I’m sorry, maybe I am getting arrogant in my old age but … “WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!!” (it’s not so much that I hate the man – more that I pity the fool)

What Do You Want to Know?

There are a number of things I personally need to do to prepare for this webinar, the first of which is to Google ‘How to conduct Interactive Webinar for free’ – just so you get an idea of how virgin a territory this all is to me :) (Don’t worry – you’ll get an awesome how to post at the end of it all :) )
**If anyone reading this knows of a good resource or IS a good resource then please let me know in the comments thread below. :)

But there is something you can do to help me… to help you :)

build rank profit question and answer time

The Webinar I plan on conducting in a week or so (will let you know a definitive time and date obviously) will be covering the Build Process of creating niche websites – including:

  • discussing the overall design of a niche website,
  • how different monetization methods and niches require certain ‘elements’ in order to convert
  • What Plugins I use, and more importantly – why!
  • How to minimise costs and maximise time – the true value of free
  • I’ll also be sharing some live examples of some of my sites

What I would like to know from anyone and everyone who is interested in attending is – what specifically do you want to know in relation to the actual build part of the process?

Let me know in the comments below, although I will be conducting/creating a survey and emailing it to my readers in the coming days based on the responses I get here and the replies I received from the initial email last week.

If you are not already subscribed then make sure you sign up below so you don’t end up missing out completely!

Oh Harrison ……… that’s just plain cold! Pete Davies? Alright …….. we’ll see ya again ……….

I don’t have any questions about the “actual build part of the process”. I just want to know who rigged the elections. A bowl of jelly indeed ………. I’d rather have had a hand full of gummy bears, if I were going to sell my vote. Politics as usual huh Harrison? Man ……. the palm pressing and back slapping that must go on over there at “BURP”.

Obviously, Alex is a man of integrity.

I tried bribing his child with candy to draw my name for the blog syndication, but Alex took it away and ate it himself.

Seriously though, this webinar sounds freaking awesome, Alex.

I’ve personally never tried this webinar tool, but it is free up to the first 200 attendees.

http://www.anymeeting.com/

All you’ll need to do is register, schedule your webinar date and everything should move smoothly from there (fingers crossed).

You can count me in for the “Winnerbinar”.

Congratulations to the winner. Hopefully he will start blogging more to actually take advantage of our services. Without articles there’s not much point to it all. Seems his last article was on Jun 23rd, 2011. You might want to ask if he even wants it…

Fair point Brian on the face of it. The blog you are looking at is my IM blog. I haven’t done too much on that because I have other business sites. This tool will be used on my health and beauty site.

What are 10 most important elements to include on a blog? How do you get a design done well that doesn’t cost the earth (i.e. outsourcing, if this is what you’re into)? What design elements work in what conditions? (i.e. does the strategy or brand of the site influence what design elements will be most important)
Thanks, Brigit

Webinars always save the time. People prefer webinars instead of attending seminar and meeting physically. Who knows the value of time they will get success. Congratulations to winners!

Webinars are probably one of the things I like most about the Internet being so prevalent in society today. I love saving money on travel costs, buying lunch for a large group of people, and paying to build large meeting rooms in your expensive office that are rarely used. I can do it all from home now.

Good question Steve, and unfortunately the only answer to that is with continued maintenance and study of the latest trends/products. WPZon helps though! ;)
